Biggin Hill Bookkeeping Case Study: Warbird Experiences Limited
Based at the famous Biggin Hill Airport in Kent, Warbird Experiences Limited’s main source of income is selling Spitfire flights and Hangar tours.
Problem
There was a backlog of work which was building up and Warbird’s accounts filing date was fast approaching. They did not want to be fined.
The bookkeeping had previously been completed using a desktop accounting software solution that was out of date. And although the records had been previously completed to a high standard there was a compelling need for a change.
Solution
After attending a meeting with the Directors, Cain & Co were tasked with restoring order and providing an ongoing solution to ensure the financial accounts were kept up to date.
The first job was to get the bookkeeping up to date on the software that they were using, to enable the annual accounts to be filed on time and avoid receiving a fine. It was a mammoth task but thankfully stage one was accomplished with time to spare.
Once the bookkeeping was brought up to date it was then a case of sourcing an online accounting software that would cope with an organisation of this size. The software chosen was Xero, and Cain & Co was quickly and seamlessly able to migrate the data from the desktop software into Xero.
Currently all of Warbird’s bookkeeping is completely automated using Xero and AutoEntry and Cain & Co attends their offices twice a week to keep on top of the work, as well working remotely.
